ABOUT JENNIFER

I was born in Honolulu, Hawai’i and grew up along many great bodies of water: the Pacific Ocean of Hawai’i, Japan and California, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico.  I am at home wherever the tides flow and the sun shines. This affinity for water and light is reflected in how I move, teach, and practice.

In 2004 I graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Anthropological Sciences and a desire to explore the worlds outside of traditional academia. In 2002 I discovered the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. Living and studying in Esalen profoundly influenced my view of the body and Spirit, and also led me deeper into the healing potential of touch and movement. Naturally, my vocation as a massage therapist and yoga instructor flowed forth. I have studied with many wonderful teachers who have graciously shared their wisdom with me and guided me towards recognizing the beauty and strength that are within me. I am grateful to be able to live my passion and love.

I pray that you may also know a deep gratitude for life by connecting with your innate beauty, wisdom and strength…seeking, creating and knowing Delightenment.

PROJECT DELIGHTENMENT

My vision for Project Delightenment is to create havens of delight for the body and Spirit through effective alternative healthcare services and products…co-creating a space with my cleints to meet the challenges of everyday life and fully integrate their lessons; to expand consciousness and compassion; to nourish and nurture the whole person; to spread the healing powers of love and joy; to affirm the sacred worth of all beings everywhere.

Project Delightenment is the spiraling process of my life.  As I learn and integrate more tools, the picture of Delightenment becomes more vibrant with wisdom and mystery.  I thank you for embarking on this magical journey with me. Please check my schedule of classes and services to learn more about my work and how we can work together.

QUOTES

"Through movement we remember how to feel, how to let go, how to forgive, and how to grow. We choose when to challenge ourselves and when to backoff, when to be bold and how to be gentle. This is the art of balance...There is a wordless place that you can find, deep in your breath where your mind starts to seem less important. We move to build heat, to burn away struggles, to let our hearts beat fast and free." -from prAna catalogue '07

"Lose your mind, come to your senses." -Fritz Pearls

"May all beings be happy, may all beings be peaceful, may all beings be free from suffering, may all beings be filled with loving kindness." -Buddhist Metta Meditation
